In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks, Caltrains
carried as many as two-thousand celebration revelers from all
over the Peninsula on the anniversary of Dr. King's birthday.
The Freedom Train, chartered by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Association of Santa Clara Valley, rolled into San Francisco at
11:25 a.m. spilling a colorful and joyous procession of King disciples.
Upon the Freedom Train's arrival, MUNI buses transported the
revelers to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium where King's legacy
was honored and celebrated.
