Ahsha Ali Safai, five-year city community development worker, yesterday reported he likes his present job, but would consider any request by the Mayor - including appointment to the Board of Supervisors.

Handicappers on one internet chat board raised Safai's name as possible appointed replacement for District 11 Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval should Sandoval win the Assessor race. Safai brushed aside speculation noting, "Phil Ting is the best candidate for the city."
