Protesters this morning are rallying outside the headquarters
of Chevron in San Ramon to object to what they say is the oil
giant's role in driving the war in Iraq.
This morning's protest comes after rallies across the Bay Area
this weekend to protest the U.S. involvement in the war and as
another group of protestors prepares for a die-in in downtown
San Francisco at noon today.
Also at noon today, an anti-war rally outside the San Francisco
offices of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the Federal Building
is expected to draw activists and politicians including Daniel
Ellsberg, former San Francisco Supervisor Matt Gonzalez, Rabbi
Michael Lerner and San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi.
The Federal Building is located at 450 Golden Gate Ave.
