Victim of fatal Bayview District shooting identified

The San Francisco medical examiner's office today has identified the victim of a fatal Wednesday night shooting as Darski Alexander.

Alexander, 35, of San Francisco, was found at Innes Avenue and Mendell Street, in San Francisco's Bayview District, a police dispatcher said.

The shooting was reported at 6:45 p.m. and Alexander was pronounced dead at San Francisco General Hospital at 7:21 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office. Police are investigating the incident.
