Bay Area Rapid Transit District officials have announced that
San Francisco's 16th and Mission streets BART station will be
closed on Halloween night.
The decision was made at the request of San Francisco leaders
involved with the Home for Halloween organization, which strives
to limit Halloween-related activities in the Castro neighborhood.
The closure will begin at 8 p.m., according to officials with
BART. All other stations, including the Civic Center and 24th
and Mission streets stations, will be open Halloween night
