Bicyclist shot in San Francisco's Ingleside dies

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A woman shot in the back of the
head nearly two weeks ago in San Francisco's Ingleside Heights
neighborhood has died, according to the medical examiner's office.
Jennifer Merritt, 31, was found next to her bicycle near the
intersection of Randolph and Head streets around 6 a.m. on Jan.
31, according to police.
On Sunday, she was pronounced dead. The case, which has remained
a mystery to investigators with the general works detail of the
San Francisco Police Department, has been turned over to Inspectors
Holly Pera and Joe Toomey with the department's homicide division.
Possible witnesses to the shooting, Randolph Street is part of
the San Francisco Municipal Railway M-line, are urged to come
forward and call the department's anonymous tip line at (415)
575-4444.
