One dead, one injured in early morning shooting

One person is dead and another was transported to a local hospital after a shooting occurred in San Francisco early this morning, a fire dispatcher said.

The shooting was reported at 4th and Howard streets at about 1:50 a.m., according to the dispatcher.

A person has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting, police said.
