Three people are dead and one person is in critical condition
this morning after a late-night shooting in San Francisco's Bayview
District Friday, according to a San Francisco police dispatcher.
Police first received reports of the shooting, located at the
intersection of Innes Avenue and Mendell Street, at about 10:47
p.m. Friday, the dispatcher said.
Officers that responded to the shooting located four people who
had been riding in a newer model Mercedes Benz suffering from
gunshot wounds, the dispatcher said. A man and a woman were pronounced
dead at the scene.
Another man and woman were transported to San Francisco General
Hospital, where the woman was later pronounced dead, according
to the dispatcher. The man remains in critical condition this
morning.
Police continue to search for suspects in the area of the shooting
this morning, the dispatcher said. It is unclear how many shooters
were involved.
The dispatcher said the shooting occurred near an area of known
gang activity.
