As many as eight bullets rang out in rapid succession during
a drive-by shooting in the Hayes Valley district of San Francisco
this evening.
The shots were fired around 6:40 p.m. at Oak and Fillmore streets.
Louis King, 48, was driving his Department of Public Works pickup
truck when three bullets struck his vehicle, one narrowly missing
King as it struck his windshield.
Louis King is examined by paramedics.

A second vehicle driven by a woman in her 30s was also struck
by bullets.
Witnesses said the shots were fired from a vehicle described
as a light-colored SUV which was chasing another vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
