19-year-old man shot in head in Western Addition

A 19-year-old man shot this afternoon in San Francisco's Western
Addition neighborhood was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries,
San Francisco Police Department spokesman Sgt. Steve Mannina said.
According to Mannina, the man was shot at 12:12 p.m. near the
corner of Grove and Buchanan streets and was rushed by paramedics
to San Francisco General Hospital.
A San Francisco Police Department police operations officer earlier
indicated that the victim had been shot in the head.
No suspect description was immediately available and no arrests
have been made, Mannina said..
