Free green and sustainable business class
offered at City College of San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO - A free, three-night course on Green and
Sustainable Small Business will be offered by the Small Business
Institute of City College of San Francisco beginning October 18.
It will be held on Wednesdays at the College's Downtown Campus,
88 Fourth Street, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 425. The course is
free and you may register at the first class.
Students will explore the obstacles faced in implementing and
maintaining green and sustainable practices that are economically,
ecologically and socially sound. An overview of the people, visions
and principals behind current environmental and sustainable business
initiatives will establish a framework for identifying the roles,
responsibilities, tradeoffs and methodologies involved in running
a sustainable small business.
Developing a Business Plan, another free, three-night course
will begin October 19 in Room 724. It will meet Thursdays through
November 2.
Free noncredit courses meeting one time only in October include:
Effective Advertising, Tuesday, October 10; Staffing Your Business,
Wednesday, October 11; Marketing Analysis, Tuesday, October 17;
and Marketing Strategy, Tuesday, October 24. All classes will
be held at CCSF's Downtown Campus, 88 Fourth Street, from 6 to
9 p.m. in Room 425.
