A shooting suspect was arrested early this morning after a high-speed
pursuit in San Francisco ended in a minor collision, according
to the San Francisco Police Department.
The chase began after police spotted a vehicle in connection
with a shooting in the Ingleside neighborhood. Police received
a call around 3 a.m. that a 26-year-old woman was shot in the
hand at Plymouth Avenue and Sadowa Street and a pursuit followed
shortly after.
The suspect led police at speeds of over 80 mph in a white Nissan
through Brannan Street, southbound Interstate Highway 280, southbound
U.S. Highway 101 and Bayshore Boulevard.
The chase ended when the suspect's car fishtailed at Mansell
Street near Bayshore Boulevard. The driver was arrested without
incident and treated for minor injuries, but police have not confirmed
if the man was the
shooter, police said.
The victim and suspect were taken to San Francisco General
Hospital, according to police.
