SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - The San Francisco Police Department
is looking for a red Chevrolet Camaro with a black top in connection
with a hit-and-run accident that left a man with life threatening
injuries on Wednesday.
At about 11:49 a.m., an unidentified 28-year-old man was crossing
Brannan Street mid-block between Fifth and Sixth streets when
the Camaro hit him, police said.
Police originally reported the collision was fatal, but today
said the man survived.
Police are advising auto glass and body shops to be on the lookout
for the suspect vehicle, the windshield of which was smashed in
the crash.
According to police, the Camaro was last seen turning south onto
Fifth Street from eastbound Brannan Street. Anyone with information
on this incident is encouraged to call the hit-and-run division
