Man dies after being struck
by motorized cable car

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - An elderly man is dead after being
struck and trapped under a motorized cable car in San Francisco's
Chinatown Tuesday, according to the San Francisco Medical Examiner.
The accident, on the corner of Stockton and Jackson streets,
was reported just before 3 p.m., according to Lt. Mindy Talmadge
of the San Francisco Fire Department.
"We responded to find a very elderly gentleman under the
bus. He was stabilized and en route to San Francisco General Hospital
within about nine minutes," Talmadge said.
The investigation has been turned over to the San Francisco Police
Department.
"There were witnesses, so police are collecting all that
information," Talmadge said.
No arrest has been made in connection with the accident, according
to police.
