Woman struck by MUNI bus Friday dies

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A 60-year-old San Francisco woman
who was struck by a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus Friday
afternoon died Sunday, the San Francisco Medical Examiner's office
reported today.
Wan Yu was crossing the street around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection
of Kearny and Jackson streets when she was struck by a northbound
No. 15-Third Street Muni bus, according to the San Francisco Police
Department and Muni.
She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening
injuries, according to police.
The incident was the third collision involving a Muni vehicle
in as many days. Late Wednesday afternoon a woman was struck and
injured on Market Street at Powell Street by a No. 71 bus headed
toward the Embarcadero.
On Thursday afternoon a bicyclist collided with an N-Judah line
train on the Embarcadero at Bryant Street, according to police.
