SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A San Francisco Municipal Railway
bus driver was assaulted Sunday after he stepped out of his bus
to fix his power supply.
At about 5:30 p.m. the driver stopped his 24 Divisadero bus in
the area of Palou Avenue and Quint Street in order to re-attach
a rooftop boom to the overhead power line.
When the driver re-entered the bus the suspect beat him up, hitting
him on the head 10 times, according to police. He was taken to
San Francisco General Hospital.
It is unclear whether the suspect was a passenger on the bus
or someone who got on while the driver was re-attaching his power
boom, according to police.
