SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A San Francisco man
who died Thursday after being struck by a vehicle as he was crossing
Interstate Highway 280 has been identified as 36-year-old Dexter
Lezcano, a spokesman for the San Francisco Medical Examiner said
today.
Lezcano had been running around in the nude on the
freeway just south of the Alemany Boulevard exit when he was struck
by a Ford V-1 pickup truck traveling south around 2:10 a.m., according
to California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the truck, 33-year-old San Francisco
resident Erwin Arce, pulled over at an entrance to a nearby Bay
Area Rapid Transit station and called 911 after the incident.
Other drivers also reported seeing Lezcano running
around on the highway prior to the collision, the CHP reported.
