SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - The San Francisco man who died after
being shot while in a crowded South of Market nightclub early
Sunday has been identified as Hao Tri Tu, 29, according to an
investigator with the San Francisco Medical Examiner's office.
Police found Tu on the lower level of the nightclub 1015 Folsom,
near Sixth Street, after responding around 3:30 a.m. to reports
of a shooting, Sgt. Neville Gittens said.
Tu was pronounced dead at the scene at 4 a.m.
Nightclub patrons told police they heard two to three shots.
A second man, who was shot in the left elbow, was taken to San
Francisco General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,
Gittens said.
The club was "very crowded" when the shooting took
place, he said.
Police ask that anyone with more information regarding the shooting
