Filing deadline extended five days in School Board and District 4 Supervisor races

San Francisco ballot for the November 7 election took clearer shape Friday as the deadline for candidate filing passed in all but two races.

By law, an extra five filing days is extended for races in which an incumbent is not running.

The incumbent is not seeking re-election in the District 4 Supervisor campaign and two incumbents are not running in the School Board race, the San Francisco Elections Department reported.

School Board and District 4 contenders have until Wednesday, August 16, 2006, 5:00 p.m., to declare candidacy with the Elections Department.
