Readers of a popular German travel magazine are honoring San
Francisco International Airport as the best airport in North America.
Readers of Business Traveller Germany completed a survey last
year and chose SFO as the best North American airport for the
fourth year in a row.
Readers noted the airport is easy to access via public transportation
and highway systems. Survey respondents also said the airport's
terminals are easy to navigate since they are all under one roof,
according to airport spokeswoman Jane Sullivan.
"Everyone at San Francisco International understands the
needs of our travelers and we value their trust, their business,
and most of all their time,'' Sullivan said in a prepared statement.
"This award is confirmation that SFO is indeed the Bay Area's
and again Germany's 'Airport of Choice,''' she added.
The award was presented on Jan. 17 in Germany. The results are
set to appear in the magazine's March/April 2006 issue.
