EARTHQUAKE SHAKES SOUTH BAY

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.7 shook the South Bay around 7:30 this morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reports.

The quake occurred about 19 miles from Alum Rock and 23 miles from the San Jose City Hall, according to the USGS.
