The National Weather Service has released several advisories
for the San Francisco Bay Area this morning.
A winter storm watch, a snow advisory, a high surf advisory and
a maritime squall warning were issued this morning and have been
continuously updated.
Squalls have been moving across coastal waters and bays this
morning, with gale force winds, small hail, waterspouts and cloud-to-ground
lightning.
Snow showers are expected to increase overnight in areas over
2000 feet. Motorists can expect hazardous winter driving conditions
with poor visibility and slick roads through Friday evening.
The high surf advisory was issued early Thursday and will stay
in effect until 10 p.m. today. It is extremely dangerous to fish
or observe waves from exposed coastal structures or rocks, according
to the National Weather Service.
