Update on Injured San Francisco Firefighters’ Conditions

February 10, 2009, 4:20 p.m.

Lt. James App, one of the six Firefighters injured at a fire on Felton Street in San Francisco on February 5, 2009, was released from the Bothin Burn Center at St. Francis Hospital yesterday, where he was being treated for burn injuries.

Firefighter Christopher Posey, who was hospitalized for burns and serious respiratory injuries, remains in the Intensive Care Unit at San Francisco General Hospital. Firefighter Posey’s condition is stable.

The early morning fire, suspicious in nature, remains under investigation.

  1. I just found out about this horrific fire through a friend of mine (firefighter/police officer) and recognized Jim App as my friend from childhood and college. I wish Jim and his partner Chris strength and courage in their recovery.
