Entertainment Commissioner Jim Meko is the fourth candidate to qualify for public campaign financing in the race to succeed District 6 Supervisor Chris Daly, Fog City Journal has learned.
“After reviewing your application for public funds for the November 2, 2010 election for the Board of Supervisors and the supporting documentation that you submitted on June 16, 2010, the Ethics Commission has determined that you are eligible to receive public funds,” wrote Ethics Commission Campaign Finance Auditor Amy Li.
Meko joins Jane Kim, Debra Walker and Elaine Zamora as the only D6 candidates to date to be authorized eligible to receive public campaign funds.
Editor’s Note: Luke Thomas is a resident and voter in District 6. In the interest of transparency, he has provided photography services to the campaigns of Jane Kim, Jim Meko and Debra Walker.

Congrats on this milestone — but to put things in perspective, you are still eating the dust of Jane Kim and Deborah Walker.
