Lights, camera, roll music and action! The campaign to elect Supervisor John Avalos to Room 200 today released a top-notch quality video production of Avalos riding around San Francisco on his bicycle.
A cool as a cucumber Avalos shows he’s no cycling novice, shown in the video fixing punctures and riding his bicycle without using his hands. Not sure if Board Prez and fellow mayoral candidate, David Chiu, can match Avalos’ cycling skills, but they have at least one thing in common: they’re both vying to impress for the coveted San Francisco Bicycle Coalition (SFBC) endorsement.
If the SFBC is having difficulty deciding their #1 and #2 endorsement slots, may we suggest the matter be settled by a bicycle race or time trial around Alioto Plaza? Now that would draw a crowd and make some headlines!

BTW, someone needs to tell them folks it’s illegal to ride on the sidewalk in SF.

Pathetic. This shows how far the city’s left has degenerated. Progressives screwed up the homeless issue, the affordable housing issue (Rincon Hill!), and turned development over to developers (Parkmerced, Treasure Island, UC Extension, the Market/Octavia Plan!), but they can count on the anti-car bike vote.
The only issue the city’s progressives have left: screwing up city traffic on behalf of that obnoxious minority.

Welcome to RCV… it really isn’t necessary to rank endorsements. Just say “these three are committed to a bikeable SF.”

Gavin had perfect hair. Avalos can ride his bike without hands. Both are impressive, but hardly mayoral qualifications.
