A shooting possibly prompted by road rage left a woman dead and a man and 3-year-old boy injured in San Francisco’s Mission District tonight, according to the Police Department.
Officers responded around 7:15 p.m. to the U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp at Mission Street and Duboce Avenue and found a car riddled with bullet holes and three victims with gunshot wounds, police said.
The man, woman and child were transported to San Francisco General Hospital where the woman was pronounced dead, according to police.
Police said road rage on Highway 101 might have caused the shooting.
No suspects have been arrested, police said.
The shooting is the city’s second homicide in less than three hours.
Around 5 p.m. a person was fatally shot near Interstate Highway 280 at Huron Avenue and Laura Street, according to police.
That victim was also transported to San Francisco General Hospital and pronounced dead there shortly before 5:30 p.m., police said.
