Angela Penny is a 4th generation San Franciscan with a BA from Berkeley and an MBA from NYU's Stern School. She worked at Time Inc., Hearst New Media, Salon, and About, primarily as a marketing executive. She spent two years working as a post production manager for "The Dr. Phil Show." She has been attending CCSF for the past few years, earning certificates in Broadcast Journalism and TV Production and Editing. She was Chief Copy Editor for The Guardsman as well as the first Multimedia Editor, launching a video arm for the paper. She is a writer for ETC Magazine, and was News Director for KCSF. She has worked as a Taproot pro bono copywriter for The John Burton Foundation and the San Franciscan Film Society. Most recently she was the web and social media expert for "Speaking in Tongues." An award-winning documentary about San Francisco's language immersion program.
