Egyptians Ready, Americans Unready
Of course, the dictatorship in Egypt is far different than what the vast majority of Americans face. Despite liberty and freedom, our tyranny exists within an electoral, constitutional republic. But with a two-party plutocracy thoroughly corrupted by corporate and wealthy interests most Americans are victims of a dysfunctional, inefficient and unfair democracy. How ironic that in the nation with monumental gun ownership among its citizens there is no hint of people giving up on meaningless elections and taking to the streets in massive numbers to protest their corrupt government.

The Real State of the Union: Capitalism Sucks
Of course, Forbes goes on to make the preposterous claim that the Real Problem with the economy is government intervention and over-regulation. Sure, Steve. But the fact that this bellwether publication of the corporate world is forced to elucidate an indictment of capitalism and acknowledge that it is having serious problems in the court of public opinion, should give pause to the high priests of the temple.

Racist Limbaugh Fan Threatens Yee Via Fax
The expletive-laden faxes contain graphics and language similar to messages Yee receive in April 2010 after he called for Sarah Palin’s speaking fee at California State University to be disclosed. Recently, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona contacted Yee regarding the April faxes and a possible connection to faxes found during the investigation surrounding the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

There are concerns. The deficit will require sacrifices and cuts (but not the ending of the wars); the overblown threat of global terror is still alive and well, and our educational system needs a jump-start to catch up to other countries. It’s not as if we haven’t heard all of that before.
