Same for Leland Yee whose one great ability is to raise money and hide its source in piles of litter. Ed Jew has a better chance of being elected Mayor than Phil Ting does and Dennis Herrera has more arrows in him than General Custer. Face it, unless Chicken John declares again, this is as exciting as this field is gonna get.

Shultz and Gonzalez Exhibition
Attracts Celebrating Gonzalez ClanTom Schultz drew a bevy of beauties as always ranging from Hope Johnson to a gorgeous blonde of a certain age that’s my speed … named Leah … caught my eye from 100 paces with a snug black dress centered with a bright red leather bow/belt and cleavage to make the Grand Canyon blush. I rushed to her side and told shameless lies for an hour or more as I introduced her to more luminaries.

And, given it’s getting ready to be the beginning of baseball season and we’re cutting players and making them feel miserable and making others feel great … I want to rate the value of the present members of the BOS individually on a scale of 1 to 10. Again, this is only my own humble opinion. Not being a religious man, I don’t claim that these are actually the choices of God. Passed down through me, as it were. Not that at all. No sir.

Daly’s Last Chance to Shine
There’s only one problem: He wants to load Jane Kim and Debra Walker and Jim Meko into his convertible with him and if he succeeds, the hopes for a Progressive victory in D6 will go over the edge with them. It’s not too late for Chris to change his mind but doing that can be like plugging BP’s raging well in the Gulf. Personally, I’ve thrown everything I have at him and nothing gets through that thick skull.

New Mayor and District Attorney Visit Prog Supes
The first time I met Aaron Peskin, I stood him up. It worked out though. I was supposed to meet him at Wild Awakenings coffee shop on McAllister down the street from City Hall. He’d just been elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and I liked the cut of his jib and wanted to interview him, but I got delayed at a press conference where Jim Reid was announcing the filing of his papers to recall Mayor Willie Brown. It was January 2001. Luckily I ran into Aaron on the sidewalk as I hurried tardily to our meeting. We talked about Willie Brown and how I wanted him gone. Peskin told me off-the-books that he wanted Willie gone too.
