Living with Dignity: TNDC to Add 174 Units of Permanent Affordable Housing for Chronically Homeless

One hundred and seventy four chronically homeless individuals will soon be living with dignity in one of the Tenderloin’s most majestic buildings, thanks in large part to a public-private partnership between the City of San Francisco and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness through permanent, affordable and supportive housing.

Tracy Rosenberg claims that she helped save KPFA from bankruptcy. A close examination of that claim shows it doesn’t hold water. Virtually the entire reduction in staffing in 2010 was from union members who took voluntary layoffs. When the dust settled, and Pacifica was forced to rehire Brian Edwards-Tiekert, the only involuntary layoff that occurred in 2010 was that of the other Morning Show co-host who had been paid for a grand total of 27 hours a week.

Defense counsel for suspended Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi today filed a formal request with the San Francisco Ethics Commission requesting the quasi-judicial body to issue subpoenas to four witnesses in connection with allegations of perjury by Mayor Ed Lee.
