The Patient Protection Act and the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) seems to be working. Admittedly, this is not a universal view. But as of September 18, 2014, 7.3 million are now enrolled. This is quite an achievement considering the computer glitches encountered by consumers along the way.
Under Obamacare, starting in 2014, all new health plans sold to individuals and small businesses will be required to cover maternity and newborn care, services explicitly listed in the law as “essential health benefits” that health plans must provide.
